Oct. 3: Samek Art Museum Hosts Art in Bars in Danville’s Pine Barn Inn
The Samek Art Museum at Bucknell University will host "Art in Bars" at the Pine Barn Inn in Danville, pairing artisanal beer from Covered Bridge Brewhaus with artworks from the Samek Art Museum’s collection on Tuesday, Oct. 3 beginning at 7 p.m. It is a ticketed event--$10 advance purchase or $15 at the door. Now-Feb. 11: Downtown Samek Gallery hosts ‘Who is Puberty and How Does She Hit?’
The Samek Art Museum at Bucknell University hosts its latest exhibition by Sidney Mullis, "Who is Puberty and How Does She Hit?" now through Sunday, Feb 11 in its Downtown Gallery space, 416 Market Street, Lewisburg. Mullis will come to campus to participate in a roundtable conversation with Erica Delsandro, visiting assistant professor of women’s and gender studies at Bucknell, on Wednesday, Nov. 29 from 6-8 p.m. at Iron Front Cowork Space, 434 Market St., Suite 301, Lewisburg.

March 1: Samek Distinguished Lecturer to Discuss Conserving da Vinci’s ‘Salvator Mundi’
Dianne Modestini — the conservator who cleaned, restored and preserved Leonardo da Vinci's "Salvator Mundi," which became the world’s most expensive painting, selling for $450 million — will present Bucknell’s Samek Distinguished Lecture on Thursday, March 1 at 6 p.m. in the Elaine Langone Center (ELC) Forum. Her talk is free and open to the public.

Jan. 16-March 11: Time Photo Editor Uncovers Global Inequality in New Samek Exhibit
Myles Little, an associate photo editor at Time magazine, curated an exhibit that explores the world of privilege beyond what is typically portrayed and invites the viewer to pause and reflect on a significant social issue today. His exhibit, "1%: Privilege in a Time of Global Inequality," opened Jan. 16 and runs through March 11 in the Samek Gallery on the top floor of the Elaine Langone Center.
