Bucknell University will host its annual Family Weekend Sept. 21-23, offering numerous activities for Bucknell students and their families. Events will focus on academics, performing arts, athletics and student activities that are designed to engage the whole family. Programming begins Friday afternoon and runs through Sunday morning.

Nov. 11: Bucknell to Commemorate Centennial of World War I Armistice

Bucknell University will commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Armistice that ended World War I with a ceremony in the Rooke Chapel Meditation Grove on Sunday, Nov. 11, starting at 10:30 a.m. The ceremony will honor the 718 members of the Bucknell community who participated in the Great War, including the 40 who died during, or as a direct result of, the war.

Jan. 15-21: Martin Luther King Jr. Week Explores ‘Critical Reflections on Current Struggles’

Bucknell University’s 2018 Martin Luther King Jr. Week will feature five prominent scholars who will recall Dr. King’s legacy while providing “Critical Reflections on Current Struggles” during a week-long series of public events Jan. 15-21. All events are free and open to the public, although RSVP is required for luncheon discussions to griot@bucknell.edu.
