Sept. 28: Steve Aoki to Headline Bucknell’s Fall Concert

The Bucknell Concert Committee presents American electro house musician, record producer and DJ Steve Aoki, with opening act AJR, on Friday, Sept. 28, in Bucknell University’s Gerhard Fieldhouse. Doors open at 7 p.m. with the show starting at 8.

Tickets are $30 for Bucknell students and $40 for all others and may be purchased through the Bucknell Box Office at bucknell.edu/boxoffice or 570-577-1000.

In 2012, the concert trade publication Pollstar designated Aoki as the highest grossing dance artist from tours in North America. He has collaborated with artists such as will.i.am, Afrojack, LMFAO, Linkin Park, Iggy Azalea, Lil Jon, Laidback Luke, BTS, Louis Tomlinson, Rise Against, and Fall Out Boy and is known for his remixes of artists such as Kid Cudi. Aoki has released several Billboard-charting studio albums, most notably Wonderland, which was nominated for Grammy Award for Best Dance/Electronica Album in 2013. He is the founder of the Steve Aoki Charitable Fund, which raises money for global humanitarian relief organizations.

AJR is an American indie pop band named for its multi-instrumentalist brothers Adam, Jack and Ryan Met. They write, produce and mix their own material in the living room of its Chelsea apartment. Their musical style has been described as electric, combining elements of pop, doo-wop, electronic, and dubstep.

Parents of young children should be advised that the concert will feature mature content.
