Oct. 17: Inaugural Farm Sustainability Festival Set for Campus Farm

Staff from the new Bucknell University Farm and Campus Sustainability have partnered to host the first Farm Sustainability Festival on Wednesday October 17 from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at the University Farm, located on the southwest corner of campus, just past the two blue water towers. The event is free and open to students, staff, faculty, families and community members.

A variety of student organizations will offer sustainability activities. The event will also feature key speakers, snacks, music and a tour the new farm space. Everyone will be invited to help plant the farm’s first food crop — garlic.

Attendees are also given the option to meet at 4 p.m. at Malesardi Quad to roll and stroll to the farm together via BYO bicycle, skateboard or feet.

Additional information is available through Jen Schneidman Partica, farm and garden coordinator, at jsp030@bucknell.edu.
