Nov. 29: Bucknell Professors, Authors Buck, Waldrep to Give Stadler Center Poetry Readings

Bucknell University English professors Paula Closson Buck and G.C. Waldrep will present a free poetry reading on Thursday, Nov. 29,  at 7 p.m. in Bucknell Hall as part of the 2018-19 Stadler Center for Poetry & Literary Arts Writers Series.

Buck is the author of three books of poems: The Aquiescent Villa (1998), Litanies Near Water (2008) and You Cannot Shoot a Poem (2018), as well as the novel Summer on the Cold War Planet (2015). She has received several grants from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, and was editor of the literary magazine West Branch for 11 years. She teaches creative writing at Bucknell.

Waldrep’s most recent books are a collection, feast gently (Tupelo, 2018); a long poem, Testament (BOA Editions, 2015); and a chapbook, Susquehanna (Omnidawn, 2013). He is acting director of the Stadler Center and edits the journal West Branch. From 2007 to 2018, he served as editor-at-large for The Kenyon Review.
