Celtic storyteller Fiona Powell will present a holiday story hour to families in Bucknell Hall on Saturday, Dec. 1 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. The annual free, public event is intended for children ages 4 to 11. The story hour will be followed by a cookie-decorating session, with all cookies and supplies provided to attendees.
Powell is a professional storyteller and collector of international folklore, particularly Celtic tales and speechways. She performs at schools, festivals and other events. Powell is also a radio host producer for WVIA-FM, the local National Public Radio affiliate.
