Oct. 17: Inaugural Farm Sustainability Festival Set for Campus Farm

Staff from the new Bucknell University Farm and Campus Sustainability have partnered to host the first Farm Sustainability Festival on Wednesday October 17 from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at the University Farm, located on the southwest corner of campus, just past the two blue water towers. The event is free and open to students, staff, faculty, families and community members.

April 26-27: Bucknell to Explore Ecology, Human Rights During Annual Sustainability Symposium

Famed Columbia University climate scientist Dr. James Hansen, whose 1988 Congressional testimony on climate change helped raise broad awareness of global warming, will be the keynote speaker when Bucknell University’s Center for Sustainability and the Environment (BCSE) presents its seventh annual Sustainability Symposium Friday and Saturday, April 26 and 27. This year’s symposium theme is “Envisioning the Future: Energy, Climate, & Human Rights.”

Nov. 10-11: 12th Annual Susquehanna River Symposium

Bucknell University will host the 12th annual Susquehanna River Symposium, "The Spirit of Two Great Rivers: The Susquehanna and Delaware," on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 10 and 11, in the Elaine Langone Center. All symposium events are free and open to the public. The two-day symposium includes a poster presentation session and keynote address on Nov. 10, and plenary talks, break-out sessions, oral presentations, and exhibits on Nov. 11.
