Feb. 26: Penn State’s Marian Ortega to Present Women’s and Gender Studies Lecture

Mariana Ortega, associate professor of philosophy and women’s, gender, and sexuality studies at Penn State University, will present Bucknell's annual Center for the Study of Race, Ethnicity & Gender and the Department of Women's & Gender Studies distinguished lecture on Tuesday, Feb. 26 at 7 p.m. in the Elaine Langone Center's Forum (Room 272). Ortega's free, public lecture -- entitled "To(o) Queer the Artist: An Aesthesis of Self-Making" -- will be followed by a reception in the ELC Center Room (256) in which her artwork will be on display.

Dec. 4: An Evening with Guitarist Lenny Kaye

The Weis Center for the Performing Arts will host Lenny Kaye, acclaimed guitarist for the Patti Smith Group, on Monday, Dec. 4 at 7 p.m. in the Weis Center Atrium Lobby. “An Evening with Lenny Kaye” is free and tickets are not required. There will be a free question and answer session with Kaye on the same day as the performance at 12 noon, also in the Weis Center Atrium Lobby.
