The Bucknell University chemistry department will host its fourth annual Chemistry Halloween Show on Tuesday, Oct. 16 at 6 p.m. in the McDonnell Amphitheater. The event is free and open to the public.
The kids tables get started at 6 p.m. where children can participate in things like making slime, dressing like a scientist, etc. The Halloween show then kicks off at 7 with fun Halloween chemistry for kids, like fire-breathing and “puking pumpkins.” There will also be a pumpkin decorating contest as part of the festivities.
The Bucknell Chemistry Department has partnered with Ard’s Farms, which donates the pumpkins, and the Lewisburg Children’s Museum, which will run one of the kids tables at the event. This celebration falls in line with National Chemistry Week, a national celebration of chemistry.
A rain date for this event is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 17 at 6 p.m. at the same location. For information, please check the Bucknell Chemistry Facebook page.
