Bucknell University students will be conducting a vigil to support the Jewish community and the students at the University most directly affected by Saturday's shootings at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh on Tuesday evening, Oct. 30, at 6:30 p.m. in the Science Quad.

Nov. 6: Famed Canadian Pianist Jane Coop to Present Concert

Famed Canadian pianist Jane Coop will present a free Bucknell Piano Series concert at Rooke Recital Hall on Tuesday, Nov. 6 at 7:30 p.m. The program will include piano works by Beethoven and Rachmaninoff. She will be on the Bucknell campus for a two-day residency through Nov. 7, sponsored by the Kushell Music Endowment.

Nov. 11: Bucknell to Commemorate Centennial of World War I Armistice

Bucknell University will commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Armistice that ended World War I with a ceremony in the Rooke Chapel Meditation Grove on Sunday, Nov. 11, starting at 10:30 a.m. The ceremony will honor the 718 members of the Bucknell community who participated in the Great War, including the 40 who died during, or as a direct result of, the war.

Bucknell University's “The ’60s at 50: Reflections on America a Half-Century Later,” a symposium dedicated to a reconsideration of the political, social and cultural legacy of the American 1960s, will present a screening of the 2002 film We Were Soldiers on Wednesday, Nov. 28, at 7 p.m. in the Campus Theatre, 413 Market Street in downtown Lewisburg.

Jan. 18: Parsons Dance Group to Kick Off Weis Center’s Spring Season with Modern Dance

Parsons Dance Group will kick off the Weis Center for the Performing Arts' spring 2019 season with six unique and eclectic modern dance works on Friday, Jan. 18 at 7:30 p.m. at the Weis Center.  Tickets for the performance are $25 for adults, $20 for seniors 62+, $15 for youth 18 and under, $15 for Bucknell employees and retirees (limit 2), $10 for Bucknell students (limit 2), and $15 for non-Bucknell college students (limit 2).
