Oct. 15: ‘Falling Still,’ Music of Cello and Piano, Inspired by the Writings of Katherine Min

The Department of Music and the Stadler Center of Poetry will present “Falling Still” — a program featuring works for cello and piano, inspired by the writings of Katherine Min, on Sunday, Oct. 15 at 4 p.m. at Rooke Recital Hall. Cellist Michael Kannen, the Director of Chamber Music at Peabody Institute; pianist Qing Jiang, assistant professor of piano at Bucknell’s Department of Music; and author and reader Katherine Min, English professor at University of North Carolina University at Asheville, will collaborate in the performance. They’ll perform works by Bach, Beethoven, Dvorak, Franck, and the world premiere by Ying-Chen Kao, “Falling Still,” in between the readings of Min’s various essays, including “Being Humpty Dumpty.”
