April 2: U.S. Olympic Gymnast Aly Raisman to Speak at Bucknell’s Sojka Pavilion

Aly Raisman — team captain of two gold medal-winning U.S. Olympic women’s gymnastics teams and a 2018 recipient of ESPN’s Arthur Ashe Courage Award on behalf of victims sexually abused by former USA Gymnastics team doctor Larry Nassar — will speak Tuesday, April 2, at 7 p.m. in Bucknell University's Sojka Pavilion. Raisman will discuss her Olympic gymnastics experiences and being a survivor of sexual abuse. Tickets are free and will be available for students on Monday, April 1, beginning at 10 a.m. at the CAP Center and the Weis Center for the Performing Arts. Tickets will be available for the general public on Tuesday, April 2, beginning at 6 p.m. at the Sojka Pavilion box office.

Comedian and Author Chelsea Handler to Speak on Social Activism April 3

Comedian and author Chelsea Handler will participate in a fireside chat on social activism on Tuesday, April 3, at 7 p.m. in Bucknell University’s Weis Center for the Performing Arts. The discussion will be moderated by Bucknell philosophy professor and department chair Sheila Lintott and a 20-minute Q&A will follow. Free tickets are available for the Bucknell community on April 3 from 12 to 4 p.m. at the CAP (Campus Activities and Programs) Center, Weis Center, and online through the campus box office. One hundred tickets will be available at 6 p.m. for the general public and Bucknell community the day of the event at the Weis Center Box Office.
