Poets Victoria Chang and Aurora Masum-Javed will conduct free, public readings on Tuesday, Sept. 4 at 7 p.m. in Bucknell Hall as part of the 2018-19 Stadler Center for Poetry & Literary Arts Writers Series.
A poet and editor, Chang had her fourth and most recent poetry book, Barbie Chang, published in 2017. She was awarded both a Guggenheim Fellowship and a Sustainable Arts Foundation Fellowship in 2017. Her manuscript in progress, OBIT, won the Alice Fay Di Castagnola Award from the Poetry Society of America in 2018.
A poet, performer and educator, Masum-Javed is the Phillip Roth Resident in Creative Writing for 2018. She has received fellowships from Callaloo, Squaw Valley, Pink Door and BOAAT.
