History professor Yang Wei, the Donahue Chair of East Asian History at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, will deliver a free, public lecture on Tuesday, Oct. 2 at 7:30 p.m., in the Gallery Theater on the 3rd floor of the Elaine Langone Center. The lecture is entitled “Institutional Innovations and Political Decay in 17th-Century China” and is hosted by The China Institute at Bucknell University.
Wei earned his Ph.D. in Chinese history from Harvard University. He teaches courses on early China, modern China, contemporary China, U.S.-East Asian relations since 1950, and classical Chinese thought.
