Bucknell University will host nearly 40 summer events that will bring approximately 7,500 visitors to campus. These programs will run through Aug. 26.
Several of these events are summer sport camps and clinics. A complete listing can be found here. Individual sport programs running camps over the summer include baseball, men’s and women’s basketball, field hockey, football, men’s and women’s soccer, and wrestling.
Non-University athletic events will bring some of the largest crowds to campus this summer. Approximately 650 people are expected to attend the West Shore YMCA Summer Long Course Swimming Classic June 7-10; 900 are anticipated for a wrestling dual-meet tournament on July 7; and more than 1,000 people are projected to visit during the Middle Atlantic Swimming Long Course Championships July 11-14.
Other highlights of the summer schedule include the engineering camp (June 24-28), the chemistry camp (July 8-11) and Project Catalyst for engineering educators, also referred to as the E3 workshop (July 10-13). The college admissions workshop, which is for children of Bucknell alumni, faculty and staff, will be held June 28-29, while the Project Lead the Way summer core training program is slated for July 23-Aug. 3.
Approximately 175 students will continue their academic work through the Bucknell Summer Session, which runs June 11 through July 20.
