The Bucknell University Department of Theatre & Dance will present the play House of the Holy Moment by Cary Pepper, directed by Kyle Cohick ’20, on Wednesday, Nov. 28 and Sunday, Dec. 2 at 7:30 p.m. in Bucknell Hall. Admission is $7 and tickets may be purchased at bucknell.edu/BoxOffice.
The play focuses on the town of Appleton, population 3,000, which has no property taxes on houses of worship and now has 300 churches. That prompts the city assessor’s office to check possible fake churches. Butch Haggerty adamantly defends his church and his beliefs as the play pushes to the heart of what faith in anything really means.
