The Bucknell Piano Series welcomes this year’s first guest in Brazilian pianist and Steinway Artist Dr. Caio Pagano on Thursday and Friday, Sept. 28-29. Dr. Pagano is a Regents Professor at Arizona State University and a professor at the University of São Paulo.
Dr. Pagano’s residency will begin with a noon lecture on music and the golden section at the physics/mathematics seminar on Thursday, Sept. 28, in Olin Science Lecture Hall (Room 268), followed by a piano master class featuring the music department’s piano students at 5 p.m. in Rooke Recital Hall. On Sept. 29, he’ll close his residency with a recital in Rooke Recital Hall at 7:30 p.m., performing works by Chopin, Liszt, Brahms and Bach/Siloti.
The event is co-sponsored by the Kushell Music Endowment of Bucknell University and the departments of music, mathematics, and physics & astronomy.
