On the eve of Women’s History Month, soprano Alexandra Schoeny, a visiting music professor at Bucknell; and mezzo-soprano Ellen Graham, director of vocal studies at Xavier University; will present a free, public evening of song by female composers of the 19th and 20th centuries on Saturday, Feb. 29, at 7:30 p.m. in the Sigfried Weis Music Building, Natalie Davis Rooke Recital Hall.
Matthew Lobaugh, a noted New York City collaborative pianist, will provide accompaniment at the recital, which will include songs by Alma Mahler, Fanny Mendelssohn Hensel, Pauline Viardot, Margaret Bonds, and Florence Price.
