April 10: Carol Wayne White to Speak About Black Lives and Sacred Humanity

Carol Wayne White, Bucknell religious studies professor, will deliver a free, public talk entitled "Black Lives and Sacred Humanity" on Wednesday, Feb. 20 at 7 p.m. in the Great Room of the University's Hildreth-Mirza Hall. Her talk is part of the Bucknell Griot Institute Spring 2019 Lecture and Performance Series, "The Black Unfamiliar in the 21st Century," and co-sponsored by the University's Department of History.

April 11: Stadler Center Hosts Annual Student Reading

The Stadler Center for Poetry & Literary Arts will host its annual student reading on Thursday, April 11 at 5 p.m. in Bucknell Hall. The free, public event brings together the winners of Bucknell's two literary contests, the Cadigan Prizes for Younger Writers and the Julia Fonville Smithson Memorial Prize, for a formal reading in Bucknell Hall.

Bucknell University is hosting a Neuroscience Summit on Addiction featuring five leading addiction research scholars on Thursday, April 18, from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Campus Theatre, 413 Market St., Lewisburg. The student-created event is free and open to the public and designed to help people better understand the reasons for and effects of addiction. May 10-11: Panda’s Home, an interactive experience ideal for ages 4-7, comes to the Weis Center

Panda’s Home, an enchanting and interactive performance that allows audience members to take a journey to ancient China, following the footprints left by a panda, will be presented by Italian-based company Compagnia TPO on Saturday, May 11 during three public performances: 10 a.m., 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. at the Weis Center for the Performing Arts. This performance will take place on the Weis Center stage, therefore seating is limited to 100 patrons per performance.
