The Bucknell University Orchestra will present a free, public Spring Pops Concert on Sunday, April 7, at 2:30 p.m. in the Weis Center for the Performing Arts. The program will feature popular classical and contemporary works by Rossini, Mascagni, Bernstein and Williams.
With repertoire ranging from the great orchestral classics to Broadway and film music, the Bucknell Orchestra is recognized throughout the region for its diverse, imaginative programs and quality performances. Concerts often feature soloists of international standing, such as British violinist Jill O’Brien of the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, the Fitzwilliam String Quartet and Bucknell performance faculty. The orchestra is under the direction of music professor and conductor Christopher Para.
